A Celebration of Life service for Zola M. Powell age 83 of Enid will be 10 a. m. Monday at Grace World Church with Rev. John Chambers officiating. Cremation and Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Zola was born June 28, 1930 in Best, Nebraska to Jacob and Anna Mae Davis Dodson and passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. She was raised in Colorado where she attended and graduated from high school in Climax, Colorado. On April 15, 1948 she married Loren Allen Powell in Grand Junction, CO and he passed away on March 28, 1988. In 1962, they moved to Enid where she worked for the Enid State School as a CMA retiring after 25 years.
She was an active member of Grace World Church.
Zola is survived by her daughters; Cheryl Powell and Loretta and husband Larry Stamper both of Enid, son JC Powell of Enid, a brother Robert Dodson and wife Cathi of Ames, Iowa, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Zola was preceded in death by her two sons, David and Dale, a sister and five brothers.
