Marianna Powell

April 19, 1926 — March 5, 2017

A Celebration of Life for Marianna Powell, 90, of Enid, will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 10:00 AM at the Central Christian Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jarrett Banks and Rev. Shannon Speidel officiating. The interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The services are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Marianna was born April 19, 1926 in Mooreland, Oklahoma the daughter of Angues and Mildred Luppy Elwood and passed away March 5, 2017.

Marianna was a graduate of Wesley Nursing School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to L.V. Powell February 12, 1949 in Mooreland, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death August 7, 2011. She was employed as a registered nurse for Dr. Paul Rempel until her retirement in 1972. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She enjoyed bowling, bridge clubs, caring for her horses and spending time with family and friends, especially time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Kerry Powell and his wife Maria of Yukon, Oklahoma and Randy Powell and his wife Kandi of Enid, four grandchildren, Adina, Cristina, Kristin and Ryan, four great-grandchildren, Jack, Isabella, Kooper, Kallan and one sister, Joyce Aldridge and her husband Erv of Lahoma, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Rosamond Bouquot, Vickie Patterson and Willie Day and one brother, Jimmie Elwood.
