Graveside services for Cynthia “Arlene” (Powell) Coffman, age 80, of Enid will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, Oklahoma with Rev. Alan Seibel officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, Enid, Oklahoma.
Arlene was born May 27, 1937 in Guthrie, OK to Gene and Juanita (Wright) Powell and went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2017 in Enid, OK.
She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1955. On July 1, 1957 she married Harold Coffman in Gainesville, TX, and they made their home in Guthrie, where their three children were born. Harold’s job with Smith Tool Company brought the family to Enid in 1964. Arlene sang with the Sweet Adelines Chorus, a group of ladies that traveled throughout the Midwest singing at various events. She was always there to support her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their activities. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and traveling all over the United States with her family. She was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Juanita Powell; and four brothers, Willis, Lonnie, Robert and Johnny Powell.
Survivors include her husband, Harold of the home in Enid, OK; daughter, Sandy Moore and husband Randy, of Kremlin, OK; two sons, Brent Coffman and wife Lisa of Enid, OK; Tony Coffman and wife Robin of Enid, Ok; seven grandchildren, Wes Moore and wife Jessica, of Bixby, OK; Jake Moore, of Kremlin, Ok; Cory Moore of Kremlin, OK; Stacia Bartling and husband Dustin, of Mannford, OK; Nick Coffman of Enid, OK; Bryce Kvasnicka of Norman, OK; Courtney Coffman of Enid, OK; two great grandchildren, Callie and Katie Moore, of Bixby, OK; five sisters, Betty Ingraham, of Cushing, OK; Darla Sparks, of Oklahoma City, OK; Vita Meacham of Alexandria, LA; Ava Leaverton, of Mannford, OK; Erma Goforth, of Perkins, OK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Arlene’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association Research Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
