A Celebration of Life service for Anita Sue Powell, age 76, of Enid, will be 10 am Friday, May 25, 2018 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Anita was the beloved daughter of Lois (Burns) and Albert W. Powell was born on May 26, 1941 in Covington, OK and passed away May 20, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was the second born of five siblings including Darlene, Linda, Wayne and Nancy. She attended Covington Schools. After school she met and married Stephen H. Schnaithman who was in the U.S. Navy. To that union Stephen, Kathy, A.J., Jennifer, and Leia Christie were born.

Anita worked for K-Mart, Winchell’s and in her 40s she went back to school and received her cosmetology license and certified med-aide license and worked for Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid for 10 years. . She stopped working to take care of her mother after her children were grown.

She was preceded in death by her son, Allan, her sister, Darlene Brazell and brother, Wayne Powell.

Anita is survived by her five children; many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

Memorial contributions in Anita’s name may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
