A Celebration of Life Service for Michael J. Postier age 55 of Enid will be 10:00 am Monday, February 27, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Rev. Timothy Dorsch officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mike was born December 7, 1961 in Enid to John and Margie Heim Postier and passed away suddenly at his home on February 23, 2017. Mike grew up in the Pioneer-Pleasant Vale community. He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1980. He married Deirdre Eggers on April 6, 1991 in Fairmont. Mike started working for Don Kroll Construction, later started working for Garfield County as an equipment operator in District 3. He then worked in District 2. He was elected Garfield County Commissioner in 2004 and retired in 2012. He started working for D&S Oil Field Services where he was the general manager. Mike was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he held several offices.
Mike is survived by his wife Deirdre, son Carter, daughter Madison of Enid, parents John and Margie Postier of Enid, sisters Lori Pendleton and husband Darin of Edmond, Melissa Mainord and husband Ron of Fairview, Melinda McCormick and husband Dwayne of Ponca City, mother-in-law Violet Eggers of Fairmont, sisters-in law DeAnn Hale of Enid, and Denise Eggers of Anchorage, AK and several other family members including his beloved dog Roady.
He was a devoted and loving family man. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Denton Eggers.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
