The funeral service for June Petersen, age 71 will be held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Kevin Arensman will officiate. Cremation arrangements are made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
June was born June 20, 1938 in Enid, OK to Floyd and Erma (Throckmorton) Hunt and died February 15, 2010. She was adopted by Ray Fields, her stepfather, as a young child. She graduated from Enid High School in 1956.
She worked as an interior decorator for 30 years in Oklahoma, Washington, California and Arizona. She spent 25 years with the love of her life, Tom Cramsie. She was an avid reader, loved going to the movies and enjoyed her pet cats.
Survivors include: her mother, Erma L Fields of Enid; her significant other, Tom Cramsie; daughter, April Highland and husband David of AZ, son, John Petersen and wife Kristy of Enid and son, John Dale and wife Kathy of Norman; five grandchildren; and sister, Gretchen Massey and husband Jack.
She was preceded in death by her adopted father, Ray Fields and biological father, Floyd Hunt.
Memorials may be made to the Children’s Department at Central Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be emailed to the family at ladusauevans@suddenlinkmail.com.
