A Celebration of Life for Peggy Lucille McMichael, age 96, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 10, 2025, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm in Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Peggy was born March 7, 1928, in Fairview, to Vernon and Katie (Burton) Fawcett, and passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, in Enid. After graduating from high school, Peggy worked for Southwestern Bell for thirteen years. On December 14, 1952, Peggy married V.O. (Mike) McMichael at the First Baptist Church in Fairview, OK.
Peggy loved little children, and worked in church nurseries, and served as the Director of the nursery at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle, TX. After her husband's retirement in 1986, they moved to Amarillo, Texas where they were active in the senior adult department at Paramount Baptist Church. In September 2010, they moved to Enid, OK to be closer to family.
Peggy loved the Lord and always shared her faith with others.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Kenneth Fawcett; sister Jenene Tate; and son-in-law Bob Standrich. She is survived by her son, Curtis and wife Joan McMichael of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Lea Ann Standrich of Wichita, KS; and grandson Trevor McMichael of Norman, OK.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Enid, or Samaritans Purse, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds.
