Funeral services for Lois A. Peckham will be Monday, December 23rd, 2013 at 10:00 am at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Vernon Lee will officiate. If unable to attend the services due to bad weather, you can view the service live at www.ladusauevans.com Burial will be at Del Norte Cemetery Drummond, OK. There will be a visitation with family from 5 to 6PM on Sunday, December 22nd at the funeral home.
Lois was born November 5, 1952 in Enid to Seth and Stella (Scott) Payton of Drummond, OK and died Friday December 20, 2013.
She graduated in May 1971 from Drummond High. On September 18, 1971, Lois married Donald J. Peckham. They made Enid their home.
Lois and Don had 2 children: Jeffery born in 1974 and Amy in 1978. Lois was very active in the kids’ school functions, was a member of the PTA, and did volunteer work at the school. She started working at K-Mart in October 1988 and retired in November 2007.
Lois is survived by her son, Jeff Peckham & his wife Quillian of OKC, OK and her daughter Amy Levings & her husband Chad of Augusta, KS. Her 7 grandchildren: Chelsea & Maurcel Gaines, Zorion , Malachi, & Zoey Peckham, Hunter & Maddison Levings and 2 Great-grandchildren Aleona & Taylor Gaines. One brother Jim Payton & his wife Carol of Port Orange FL, one Sister Debbie Bonebrake and her husband Rick of Enid, OK.,One nephew, Adam Payton & his wife Charlene of Port Orange, FL. 3 nieces, Victoria Blevins & her husband Drew of Broken Arrow, OK, Maci & Sarah Bonebrake of Enid, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, David, and her loving husband in July 2007.
Lois had many friends, but her 4 closest friends: Teresa, Lilly, Donna, & Grace were her rock during her most difficult times. She loved all her grandbabies so much and loved to spoil them.
Memorials may be made to the heart division of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation through the funeral home.
