Robert Parks

A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Robert B. “Bob” Parks, 90, of Enid, will be Saturday, August 8, 2015, 12:00 Noon at Central Christian Church with Rev. Don Johnson and Shannon Speidel officiating. A reception will follow the service. Inurnment will be private in the Enid Cemetery. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bob was born November 17, 1924 in Indianna, PA, the son of Ward D. and Roxie M Burnheimer Parks and passed away at his residence August 1, 2015. He attended Phillips University where it met the love of his life, Murna E. Case. They were married May 30, 1948 and she preceded him in death December 8, 2000. Mr. Parks was employed by Union Equity with 43 years of service. He was a member of Central Christian Church, singing in their choir, a deacon and served as a volunteer landscaper for the church. He was also a member of the Men’s Garden Club and The Enid Barbershop Chorus and many barbershop quartets. He will be remembered as a caring man who always put others before himself

Survivors include three sons, Gailyn and his wife Lavada of Alpine, TX, Darrel and his wife Janet of Houston, TX and Dennis and his wife Patricia of Enid, two daughters, Garlyn Cook of Enid and Anita Green and her husband Phil of Dover, OK and three grandchildren, a niece, Beth Henneke and a nephew, Danny Parks.
