Benjamin Ott

Funeral services for Benjamin L “Benny” Ott, 88 of Waukomis will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 10:00 am at the Central Assembly of God, 1202 W Oxford with Rev Kevin Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation with the family will Wednesday from 6-7 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born September 9, 1923 in Ames, OK, the son of Rev G.A. and May Ott. He was a graduate of Ames High School in 1942. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during WWII. His military service included the Pacific Theatre. He was united in marriage to Arby L Phillips January 8, 1946 in Enid, OK. He was employed as a general contractor for many years and retired as Superintendent of Building and Grounds for Enid Public Schools. He was a long time member at Central Assembly of God where he served as a deacon. He served as a commander for the Royal Rangers for over 40 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Arby of the home, two sons, Arben Ott and Ann of Owasso, OK, David Ott and wife Sandi of Waukomis, OK; two daughters, Carolyn Ruane of Albuquerque, NM, LouAnn Robinette of Enid; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two sisters, Amy Wilhoite of Claremore, OK, Alma Jo Marlin of Claremore, OK; one brother, Jerry of Eugene, OR.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ira and Gilbert.
