Margaret Olmstead

The funeral service for Margaret Allene Olmstead, age 82 of Enid, will be 10 am Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Margaret was born March 19, 1931 in Hayward, OK, the daughter of Chris Allen and Maggie Billups Poindexter and died April 22, 2013 at the Greenbrier Nursing Home. She was united in marriage to Ted E Olmstead on July 15, 1951 in Perry, OK. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Victory Bible Church. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital for many years.

Survivors include three sons, T.A. Olmstead and wife Nancy; Edward “Eddy” Olmstead and wife, Paula; Jim Olmstead, all of Enid, OK; 6 grandchildren: Wendy, Colton, Caitlin, Candice, Lee and James; 1 great grandson, Cameron; 3 brothers, Richard, Don, and Jim Poindexter; and 1 sister, Betty Hoover and several nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister, Ella Mae Poindexter and a niece Tami Bell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
