A Celebration of Life for Erwin M. Olds, age 74, of Enid is 10:30 am, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Willow View United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark McAdow and the Reverend Dr. Lisa Wiens Thompson to officiate. A private family burial will be held prior to the church service in Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation and viewing for Erwin will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 24, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Erwin was born November 21, 1943 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Leola (Yeager) Olds, and passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Enid.
He graduated from Mooreland High School in 1962, and then attended Southwestern State College of Pharmacy in Weatherford, Oklahoma where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He was a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity. Throughout his career, he worked at various pharmacies, and was honored for his fifty-year membership with the Oklahoma Pharmacy Association.
He married Karen Peoples on May 29, 1965 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They had two children, Martin and Karee. He and Karen were members of the Crusaders Sunday School class at Willow View United Methodist Church. He was also involved in the Enid community; he was a charter member of the AM AMBUCS, and the Moose Lodge. After his retirement, Erwin enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his five grandchildren perform in various activities.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Leola Olds. He is survived by his wife Karen Olds, of the home in Enid; two children, Martin Olds and wife Deanna, of Oklahoma City, OK; Karee Marrs and husband Jason, of Enid; five grandchildren, Morgan, Allison, and Karlee Olds, of Oklahoma City; Savana and Grayson Marrs, of Enid; two sisters, Judy Neer and husband Harry, of Conroe, Texas; and Delene Lovitt and husband David, of Oklahoma City.
Memorials in Erwin’s name may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
