A Celebration of Life for Robert “Slats” Nault, age 72, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Wade will officiate with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Robert was born November 9, 1943 to Joseph Nault and Mildred (Golston) Nault in Tennessee, and passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Enid.
He married Betty J. Cross on December 30, 1963 in Enid. They moved to Anaheim, California and lived there for ten years while Robert pursued his passion for motorcycles. They moved back to Enid in 1980, where he later opened Prairie Cycles. Robert’s greatest joy was riding his Harley.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, brother Eddie Nault, and grandson, Rocky Nault.
He is survived by his wife Betty, of the home in Enid; two sons, Scott Nault and wife Lisa, of Enid; Brian Nault, of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Linzy Cook and Adam, of Dallas; Cassie Nault of Yukon; and Trevor Nault of Norman; two new great-grandchildren; four sisters, Sue Erwin of Houston; Kay Wilson and husband Cliff of Houston; Mary Alford and husband Larry, of Austin; and Nancy Kosh and husband Casey, of Houston.
