Ella Nakvinda

March 8, 2019 — March 27, 2023

A Celebration of Life for Ella Dawn Nakvinda, age 4, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2023 at Oakwood Christian Church with Pastor Alan Seibel officiating, with burial following in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Sunday, April 2nd at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ella was born March 8, 2019 in Enid to Zac and Kayla (Cole) Nakvinda, and passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 in Oklahoma City in the loving arms of her parents. Ella was always smiling and laughing. Her curly hair, big, beautiful eyes, and chubby cheeks were admired by everyone. She had the most infectious giggles while playing with her older sister, Lilly, and she loved watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She also loved bubbles, playing outdoors, swinging in her swing, and cruising in her little pink car. In January 2021, Ella was diagnosed with Batten Disease (CLN1), a rare, incurable neurological degenerative disease. The disease quickly took away a lot of Ella’s physical abilities, but never took away the things that made her so special. She welcomed a new sister, Lexi, in September of 2021, who has adored and loved Ella. In May 2022, Ella was granted a trip to Disney World through the Make A Wish Oklahoma Foundation. Give Kids the World Village blessed her family by providing a week-long stay in Florida while on her wish journey. Ella’s life was short, but she impacted everyone she met. She inspired us all through her courageous journey of life with Batten Disease. We are honored to continue sharing her story and bringing awareness to this disease.

Ella is survived by her parents, Zac and Kayla Nakvinda of the home in Enid; two sisters, Lilly, 6 years and Lexi, 1 year; paternal grandparents, Chris and Kim Nakvinda; maternal grandfather, Doug Cole and maternal grandmother, Diane and Tom Stanberry; paternal great-grandmother, Janetta Nakvinda; maternal great-grandmothers, Deanna Cole and Eileen Momsen; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family and friends. Ella is preceded in death by her great-grandfathers.

Memorial contributions in Ella’s name may be made to Make A Wish, Oklahoma; Give Kids The World Village and Batten Disease Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
