A Celebration of Life for Violet (Vi) R. Musser, age 81, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Ladusau Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Edmison officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, November 9 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Vi was born November 3, 1939 to Peter and Martha (Ortmann) Thiessen in Warroad, Minnesota, and passed away after an extended battle with cancer Friday, November 6, 2020 in Enid.
Vi married Wayne A. Musser on March 3, 1961 in Warroad, Minnesota. She worked for auditor for the State Examiner & Inspectors office for 15 years, and for Jack Tate, at the Shamrock and Oakwood Bowling Centers many years. After retiring, she worked on her volunteer positions as the Enid Bowling Association secretary and AARP Tax aide for 26 years. She enjoyed tending her lawn, vegetable and rose gardens, as well as baking goods when her family was visiting. She bowled in many leagues over the years and always looked forward to her annual trip to the Vegas tournament each year.
Vi is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne A. Musser, her parents, Peter and Martha Thiessen; her brother, John Thiessen and a grandson, Micah Emmerson.
She is survived by three children, Vicki L. Davis (Mark), of Joplin, MO; Lori Dempsey (Marty), of Ponca City; Tony Musser (Nguyet), of Broken Arrow, OK; four grandchildren, Erin Dempsey, of Ponca City; Ryan Dempsey, of Ponca City; Jesse Emmerson of Enid; Aranda Gulick (Danny), of Enid; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchild; as well as four sisters.
Memorials in Vi name may be made to the American Cancer Society or New Hope United Methodist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
