A Celebration of Life Service for Randall “Randy” L. Morisse age 61 of Grove, OK formerly of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Scott Gassoway and Rev. Garvie Schmidt officiating. Private burial will be before the service in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the funeral home.
Randy was born October 12, 1955 in Nashville, KS to Richard and Barbara Clemmer Morisse and passed away in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa after a brief illness.
Randy grew up in Nashville until the 9th grade and the family moved to Anthony, KS, where he graduated from Chaparral High School in 1973. He was a police officer in Aline, OK; he worked for Ritter Brothers farming, and in the oil field. He married Iona Cearley on July 10, 1982 in Enid. He was a car salesman in the Tulsa area for several years. In 1998, they purchased the Pond Creek Inn, Pond Creek, OK for a couple of years. He established Morisse Trucking Company. He was a member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church where he sang in choir praise team. In 2014 they moved to Grove, OK where they attended First Baptist Church.
He was an avid Oklahoma State Cowboy Fan.
Randy is survived by his wife Iona, children Jeromy of Grove, Ashley of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jacob and his wife Kadi of OKC, grandchildren Kayla, Quinton, Xaiver, and great granddaughter Ava Rose, Sisters; Janet Delanty and husband Terry of Wichita and Sandy Tope of Wichita and several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Enid Mennonite Brethren Church- Stacy Kuhn’s Mission Fund with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodians of the funds.
