Graveside services for Luella Morgaridge, age 96 of Enid will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Ames Cemetery, Ames, OK. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Luella was born November 19, 1917 at Downing, Missouri to Henry and Nannie Gooden. The family moved to Ames, Oklahoma when she was a year old and where she attended school through 8th grade. During her times in Ames, she helped on the family farm and worked during the wheat harvest. She married Alfred Morgaridge on September 2, 1939 in Fairview, Okla. The couple moved to Enid on January 15, 1945. Luella was an active homemaker and a member of the Home Demonstration club where she sewed and canned. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by two daughters; Frances Hall of Bridgeport, OK and Reta and her husband Denny Crenshaw of Menno; six grandchildren, Pam Morgaridge of Oklahoma City, Quinton and Tracy of Oklahoma City, Angela Morgaridge of Lampassa, TX, Kanzeda Crenshaw of Whittier, CA, Amanda Moss of Midwest City, OK and Darin Hall of Bridgeport, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, one sister Amy Peck, two brothers Raymond and Tilmon Gooden and one son Archie Dewaine.
