A Celebration of life and Remembrance for Emma (Sue) Hamil-Mooney is from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018, at Grace Place, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Enid.
Sue went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2018 at the age of 95. She was born January 26, 1923 to the late Charles and Emilie Wehrenberg. Sue is survived by three children, Carolyn and the late Bruce Cassell of San Diego, Ca., Sharon and the late Jim Piazza of Acworth Ga. and Dennis and Marie Hamil of Enid Oklahoma. She was proceeded in death by her brothers; Harold and Albert and Sister Hilda, Husbands Clifford Hamil and Frank Mooney and her son Michael Hamil. She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren and Great-great grandchildren.
Emma Louise Pauline Christine Wehrenberg (Sue) was born on the family farm in northeast of Loyal. She attended Prairie Star School, University High School on the OU campus for one semester and Loyal High School. She moved to California in 1946, where her home was. She worked as a church secretary and was secretary at Alum Rock grade school until she retired. She was First Lady for the San Francisco Shriners as well as a Chaplin for the Ladies of the Nile. Sue was a life long member and deacon of Church of the Valley, Santa Clara California.
