Funeral Services for Twyla Bee Montano, 83, of Enid, will be Thursday, January 5, 2017, 2:00 PM at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Twyla was born November 6, 1933 the daughter of William W. and Iva Kinsman Miller and passed away December 30, 2016.
She was a graduate of Shattuck High School and then attended Chicago Art Institute and USC in Los Angeles, California. Twyla, while serving on the Los Angeles Police Department met and then married Gene Montano in 1960 in Los Angeles, California and he preceded her in death. Upon returning to Enid, she was the carousal lady at Oakwood Mall and also worked at Advance Pierre foods. Her mission in life was to give a King James Bible to anyone who wanted one. Wherever she moved, she was very politically active with people on both national and local levels.
Survivors include one son, Phillip Montano of Salt Lake City, Utah and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Alex.
