The funeral service for Pauline A Mitchell, age 90 will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Oakwood Christian Church. Dr Joe Wilson and Eric Keller will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Pauline was born November 28, 1919 in Stafford, KS to Charles and Dacie Upson and died June 28, 2010 at the Commons Methodist Care Center. She was raised in Stafford, KS and lived in the Masonic Home. She graduated from the Stafford High School.
She married Orville Mitchell on August 12, 1938 and they moved to Enid.
She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church and a charter member of Oakwood Christian Church. She taught Sunday school for 33 years. She worked as a sales lady for J C Penneys for 20 years and volunteered at Bass Hospital for 21 years. She was the former Co-Chair of the Garfield County Democratic Party.
Survivors include, her son, Chuck Mitchell and wife Saralin of Enid; daughter, Cadence Tate of Enid; four grandchildren: Nancy Ann Fullner of Lynden, WA, Jason Mitchell of Enid, OK, Christine Lanning of TX and Jennifer Tate of Del City, OK; seven great grandchildren: Luke, Katelyn and Levi Fullner of Lynden, WA, Hunter Mitchell, Kaitin Myers of Enid, OK, and Brance & Kyler Lanning of Frisco, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
