A Celebration of Life for Louis Daniel “Danny” Metscher, age 68, of Enid, is 10:00 am, Friday, May 31, 2019 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. The United States Army Honors Team will perform military honors. Visitation for Danny is Thursday, May 30th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Danny was born July 16, 1950 in Enid, to Clarence and Esther (Huggins) Metscher, and passed away Friday, May 24, 2019.
Danny graduated from Enid High School in 1968. He attended Phillips University before serving in the National Guard for six years. He was previously married to Jonette Hatfield. He married Pamela Emick Crabb July 28, 2000 in Enid where they made their permanent home. He worked for A.W. Bruggeman Company as a CNC Machinist for 40 years until his retirement in 2014. He enjoyed gardening; fly fishing, camping, home-brewing, and traveling to Montana and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther Metscher; brother Steve Metscher and sister, Kathy Metscher-Teague. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Pamela Metscher, of Enid; step-daughter, Amanda Crabb, of the home in Enid; brother David Metscher and wife Carolene, of Enid; brother Mike Metscher, of Texas; brother, John Metscher, of West Yellowstone, Montana; brother-in-law John E. Emick, of Enid; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials in Danny’s name may be made to the Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
