A Graveside service for Aubrey Melrose will be 2:00pm, Monday, December 18, 2023 at Billings Union Cemetery with Rev Jim Edmison officiating. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Aubrey was born February 3, 1933 in Canto to Walter and Junetta (Geyer) Melrose and passed away December 11, 2023. He grew up in Thomas, Oklahoma, and graduated from Thomas High School in 1951. He moved to Billings in the 1960’s, and worked at the Billings Fairchild Center. He retired and moved to Enid around 1998, and lived at Meadows Point Apartments. Aubrey loved to play the piano. He was ablr to play by ear since his early teens. At the end of WWII, he and his brother went to the church to ring the bells to let everyone know the war was over.
Aubrey is survived by siblings, Christine Irene Schomber, Eldon Merle Melrose, Elwin Leon Melrose, and wife Judy; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ella May Seigman, Dolly June Lewis, Marguerite Louise McCants, Leland Bennett Melrose, Richard Wayne Melrose.
