Funeral services for Dorothy “Roxie” McLemore age 95 of Enid will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Harold Shore officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born June 1, 1915 in Green County, Arkansas to Jake and Dorothy Barr Beauchamp and she passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Enid, OK. Roxie grew up at the Helena Home for Children where Roxie attended and graduated from the Helena Schools.
Roxie married Noble O. McLemore on August 8, 1936 in Stillwater, OK and he passed away June 26, 1979.
She worked at Chit Chat and Molar Drug and she was a cake decorator. Roxie loved to write poetry.
Roxie is survived by her children: Noble McLemore and wife Donna of Enid, Billy Joe McLemore of Baton Rouge, LA, Arlene Shore and husband Harold of Enid, eight grandchildren Bill McLemore, Dorothy Stevenson, Stacey Long, Mike McLemore, Theresa Barber, Roxanna Brzowski, Kathleen Reisdorph, and Thomas Smith, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers Henry and Ted Beauchamp.
