Lillian Mcgee

August 21, 1930 — June 10, 2024

A Celebration of Life Service for Lillian J. McGee age 93 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Monday, June 17, 2024 at Emmanuel Enid with Rev. Shonn Keels officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Lillian was born August 21, 1930 in Nash, Oklahoma to Roy and Vera (Hayes) Kent and passed away June, 10, 2024 in her home. She grew up on a farm near Nash and attended and graduated as Salutatorian from Gore High School in 1947. She graduated from Phillips University in 1951 with a bachelor degree in Education. She taught grade school at Garfield Elementary and Emmanual Christian School. She married Charles Thomas McGee on July 14, 1951 in Nash, OK and he passed away February 22, 2008. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of Garfield Co. Republican Women’s Group and Retired Teachers Association. She volunteered teaching English as a 2nd language and volunteered at the front desk at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. She enjoyed writing short stories, playing the piano, and gardening.

Lillian is survived by her children; Deanna Crabb and husband Dale, Steve McGee and wife Linda, and Andrea March-Crabb and husband David, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Lila Woodrow and Nita Bradford, brother and sister in law, John and Dot McGee, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rita Ward and husband Bob Ward, and brother in law Raymond Woodrow, and grandson in law Dean Wooten.

Memorials may be made to OMRF-Cancer division or Macular Degeneration Research with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
