The funeral service for William F McCreary, age 84 will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Bob Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Bill was born May 6, 1927 in Enid, OK to James H and Venetta E Long McCreary and died August 10, 2011. He graduated from Enid High School in 1945.
On August 11, 1945 he married Margaret Dunworth in Enid, OK. He worked at Farm Bureau Insurance.
He was a devoted husband, loving father and family man. He was a life-long member of Followers of Christ Church, AMBUCS and loved traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, daughters, Pam Brueggen and husband, John of Cashion, OK; Pat Brown and husband Jim of Lincoln, NE; Neta Wayman of Medford, OK; sons, Steve McCreary and wife Kathy of Edmond, OK , Stan McCreary and wife Suzanne of Enid, OK , 16 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs J H McCreary “Mac”; sister, Mary Lou Stumbaugh and husband Bob; brother, Jim McCreary and wife Marge; great grandson, Jacob Goeden; and nephew, Mike McCreary.
