Elsie Maze

The funeral service for Elsie L Maze, age 86 will be held Monday, January 31, 2011

at 2:00 pm at the Midway Assembly of God. Rev Tommy Pitts will officiate. Burial

will be in the Longdale Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation with the family,

Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of

Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Elsie was born May 30, 1924 in Canton, OK to Charlie and Myrtie Robison Kirk and

died January 26, 2011 in Moore, OK. She was raised in the Canton-Longdale

community and attended schools in Longdale, OK.

She worked at St Mary’s in the cafeteria, retiring in 1987. She also was a cook at

Phillip’s University, Mercy Hospital and Martin’s Cafeteria. She married Rev Darrell

Maze on April 1, 1941 at Fairview, OK. He passed away March 31, 1992. She was

a member of the Assembly of God Church. She moved to Moore in 2007.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Roach and husband Everett of Cushing, OK;

sons, Rev Larry and Rev Jeannie Maze of Fairview, OK, Dennis and Carolyn Maze

of Fairview, OK, Garrell and Kathy Maze of Moore, OK; one sister, Wanda Phillips of

Kremlin, OK; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four grandchildren, one son and three

sisters and 4 brothers.
