Funeral services for Bonnie Jean Martin will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Helena. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born March 19, 1935 in Ponca City to Arthur William and Mae Marie (Kelsay) Brownfield and went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2020. She married Harry J. Martin on April 19, 1986 in Enid. Bonnie moved to Enid in 1963 where she joined Emmanuel Baptist Church. During her 57 years at Emmanuel she enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in many pageants. She was also a youth Sunday School teacher for many years. It was at Emmanuel that she met her husband, Harry J. Martin. Bonnie spent 13 years working at Luckinbill, Inc. She was co-owner of Mexi-Mike in Oakwood Mall, and worked at Dillard’s for many years following. She transitioned to Burgundy Place in 2000 and retired in 2013. Bonnie most enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; daughter, Cheryl Pettus and her husband Michael; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Combs, Matthew Pettus and Andrew Pettus; 2 great grandchildren, Brook and Eli.

She is preceded in death by parents and 6 siblings.
