A Celebration of Life for Anna Mae Marler, 98, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Pastor Nathan Oney officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home & Crematory.
Anna Mae was born September 3, 1924 to Jesse and Randa Estes on a farm near Kremlin, Oklahoma, and met Jesus face to face on January 22, 2023. She was the youngest of nine children. She loved working on the farm and always considered herself a farmer. Anna Mae graduated from Kremlin High School in 1942. She met Loy Marler while he was working on a nearby farm, and they were married on March 13, 1946. The celebrated 60 years of marriage. Anna Mae found joy in all things in her life, especially her daughters; as well as roller skating and sharing the love of Christ. For fifty years, her greatest joy was sharing her love by teaching Sunday school. To know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loy; daughter Peggy Newell, grandsons Bradley Gilbert and Micah Emmerson; six sisters and two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Graham and husband Tim; Lezlie Gilbert and husband Gil; son-in-law Don Newell, as well as five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anna Mae’s name may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church or the Hunter Christian Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
