A Celebration of Life for Margaret Sue Unruh, age 74, of Enid will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Oakwood Christian Church with Reverend Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Sue was born August 30, 1950, in Okeene, OK to Lester and Bertha (Carris) Weber, and passed away on October 25, 2024, in Enid. She lived in Enid most of her life, and she graduated from Enid High School in 1968, she retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas after 26 plus years of service. She married Jim Unruh on February 3, 1996 in Enid. Jim showed his unconditional love for her and as her health declined, he became her full-time care giver, and was by her side until the end.
Sue lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed crafting and making homemade keepsakes, including Christmas quilts for the grand children and great-grandchildren. She loved hosting family get togethers, especially her favorite holiday Christmas. Sue was very generous and thoughtful in her giving to her family, and anyone in need. She enjoyed being a part of everyone's activities, and was always showing support and encouragement.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Bertha Weber; brother, Butch Weber; sister, Kathy and husband Harold Fisher; brother-in-law, Clifford Skaggs.
She is survived by her husband Jim; daughters, Amy Ferguson and husband Aaron of Edmond, OK, Ann Wetzel and Corky Pinkston of Claremore, OK; step-son James Unruh and wife Melody of Pearland, TX; sisters, Charolette Skaggs, Doris Campbell and husband Mark; grandchildren, A.J. and Kalli Ferguson, Austin and Rainy Ferguson, Aiden and Kaleigh Ferguson, Anna Beth Ferguson, Ed Carroll, Jesseca and Colton Hill, Will Carroll, Megan Unruh, Eddie Unruh; great grand-children, Jane, Winston, Lincoln, Ezra, Bennett, and Ruby Ferguson, and Rylee Hill, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Sue's smile and sparkle in her eye, will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial contributions in Sue's name may be made to the SPCA, or St. Jude Children's Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
