Funeral service for D.H. Malone 76, of Enid will be Monday November 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Hillsdale Bible Church. The Dr. Robert Courtney officiating the service. Burial will be held at 4:00 P.M. in the Highland Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma with Rev. Steve Mallow conducting the graveside. Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Ladusau-Evans funeral Chapel.
D.H. Malone was born February 4, 1937 in Geronimo, OK to R.J. Malone and Vera Partain
Malone, and passed away peacefully on November 7,2013 at the age of76. He attended
Geronimo schools and graduated there in 1955. In 1957, he married Diana Anderson of Walters,
OK, and had three daughters, Debbie, Dana & Dayla.
He began his career working for Phillips Petroleum in Borger, TX. With his family, he also
lived in, Pampa, TX, Dumas, TX, settling in Dimmit, TX in 1964, working for Western
Ammonia Fertilizer. Moving to Lovington, NM in 1974, he was employed for Tipperary
Corporation, and by 1976 had returned to his home state of Oklahoma to reside in Enid, where
he made a permanent home.
In 1977, he married Marilyn Miller Coosewoon, and was blessed to have the addition of another
daughter, Tammy to his family.
During his time in Enid, he was employed for Farmland Industries, and retired there in 1999. He
was active in Hillsdale Bible Church, where he shared his faith, and treasured his friends there.
He was a simple family man, the seventh of nine children. He valued family and faith foremost
in his life, and showed it in his daily example to others. His children, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren were the joy of his life, along with his devoted wife Marilyn.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn, of the home. Four daughters and their spouses, Debbie &
Steve Hobson of Covington, OK, Dana & Tim Klusener, Sugarland, TX, Dayla & Karl
Recknagel, and Tammy & Kevin Landrum, both of Enid, OK. He also leaves four
granddaughters, Tracy Holden & husband Lee, Kelli Hobson, Beth Smith and husband Chris,
April Stanley and husband, Bobby, in addition to three grandsons Matthew Landrum, Kyle
Recknagel and Blake Recknagel, and six great-grandchildren, Brett Hobson, Lindsay & Lily
Longest, and Stella, Alivia and Raegan Stanley. He also leaves two sisters and five brothers,
Tena & Everett Cox, Denton, TX, Lorene Collier, Lawton, OK, Lloyd and Pat Malone, Anchorage, AK,
L.D & Patsy Malone, Waco, TX, Bill and Janette Malone, Lawton, OK, Ronnie and Jane
Malone, Dallas, TX, and Vonden and Sharon Malone, Lawton, OK, in addition to a host of
nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.J and Vera Malone, and a beloved sister, Laneta
Malone Huff.
