A celebration of life and remembrance for Janet Louise Lorenz, age 72, of Enid, is 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ted Kuschel will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Janet passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 in Enid. Funeral arrangements are under the direct ion of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born July 6, 1942 in Okeene, Oklahoma to Howard Lorenz and Erma (Vogt) Lorenz. She was a graduate of Kremlin High School. Janet was the Salutatorian in her graduating class. She loved children and worked many years in the nursery at Emmanuel Baptist Church as well as Daybridge, Happy Time Day Care and Kids Are Great. She also loved cats, especially her cat Max.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Lorenz and wife Deanna, of Enid; Michael Lorenz and wife Velda, of Stillwater; four nieces, Debra Varney and husband Steve, of Enid; Susan Lorenz of Enid; Rebecca Slaton and husband Bruce, of Overland Park, KS; Sally DeMonbrun and husband Geramy, of Olathe, Kansas; and one nephew, Greg Lorenz and wife Joyce, of Farmington, Minnesota; four great-nephews and one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
