Funeral services for Ruby Long, 86, of Enid, will be Monday, October 7, 2013, 10:00 AM at the 132 Bible Church near Hennessey with Pastor L.D. Choate officiating. Interment will follow in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ruby was born January 30, 1927 in El Reno, OK the daughter of Joseph and Tillie Long and passed away at her home October 1, 2013 with her niece Johnetta McZegle and her beloved pets at her side. A resident of Enid since 1944, Ruby thrived sixty years with the love of her life Oliver J Jordan. They resided together in Enid until Oliver’s death in 2003.
In recent years Ruby was joined by her sister Hazel McZegle and her niece Johnetta. They enjoyed their time together and became active members of the 132 Bible Church in Hennessey.
She is survived by many loving family members. Her kind spirit, strong but gentle manner and spry sense of humor will be dearly missed.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund.
