The memorial service for Elsie E Litschke, age 95 will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Christopher Hall will officiate. Cremation arrangements are made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Elsie was born July 22, 1914 in Enid, OK to Henry H and Sarah (Peters) Loeppke and died June 15, 2010 at her home. She traveled to Missouri in a covered wagon with her family at age 9. They later returned to Enid where she graduated from Enid High School.
She married William John Litschke on December 26, 1935 in Enid, OK. They lived and farmed northeast of Waukomis. He preceded her in death July 26, 1973. She was a member of the Farmerette Club for farm women, loved to travel and crochet, needlepoint, sewing and stained glass.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Gottsch, Enid; son, Donald Litschke and wife, Katherine, Waukomis; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and sisters, Pricilla Peters of Enid and Charlotte Montcastle of Ames.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William; three brothers, William, Curtis and Ivan Loeppke.
