A Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Samuel Forrest Lee, age 88 years, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014, in the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, Okla. Samuel passed away peacefully in his sleep, Monday, December 1, 2014 in Enid. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Samuel was born March 10, 1926 in Stuart, Okla. to parents John Selkirk Lee and Selma (Elms) Lee. He attended school in Stuart, Oklahoma and later served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Jean (Jared) Lee in Enid, Oklahoma where they established their home. They enjoyed close to 60 years of marriage together. Sam was an independent truck driver for over 50 years until his retirement in 1991.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Selma Lee, step-father, Audie Sharpe; three sons, Sammy, Ronald, and Donald Lee, two brothers, John “Junior” Lee, and James Sharpe; one sister, Carla Rambo.
He is survived by wife Jean Lee, of the home in Enid, four daughters, Sheree Fisher and husband John, of New York; Kathy Stone, of Enid; Sandra Sparks of Enid; Karen Nadal and husband Jim, of Tucson, Arizona; and lifelong friend whom they considered their son, Harold Clay and wife Terecia, of Enid, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
