A Celebration of Life service for Margaret L. Lawrenz age 84 of Enid will be 10 am Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Margaret was born January 24, 1933 in Enid, OK to James M. and Alta J. East Poplin and passed away September 7, 2017 at her home. She attended Enid Public Schools.
On February 25, 1950, she married Melvin W. Lawrenz in Enid and he passed away August 11, 2013. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was a member of LWML and helped with Vacation Bible School for many years. Margaret was a homemaker, seamstress and artist.
She is survived by her daughters Vicky Lecinski, Melva (Ken) Glaser, Diane Lawrenz, and Wendy (Tony) Myers, a son Melvin (Crystal) Lawrenz, Jr., 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, sister Janie Davis-Buffalo, and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers Marshall, Floyd, Howard, and James Poplin; sisters Cora Manzelman, Zelma Cronister, Jody Bond, and Kay Frances Poplin.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
