Lois Lauppe
January 10, 1926 — March 31, 2013
Funeral services for Lois H. Lauppe age 87 of Lahoma will be 2 pm Thursday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Revs. Scott Whittenburg and Kenneth Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:30 PM.
Lois was born January 10, 1926 in Wakefield, NE to Ewald and Bertha Zdblowski Grefe and passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013 in the Greenbrier Nursing Home. She was raised in Independence, KS where she graduated from high school. She moved to Enid in 1945. On May 14, 1948 she married William G. Lauppe at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. He passed away June 20, 2006. She attended Enid Business College. She worked for OG&E, Day Ford, and later as a secretary/bookkeeper for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma and later became a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Lois was active in LWML, Ladies Aide, the Economy Club of Garfield County, and Business Women of America.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Breitenkamp and husband Gene of Fairmont, Dean Lauppe and wife Jo of Pasadena, TX, Darrell Lauppe of Alabaster, AL, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministry with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
