A private graveside service for the family of Virgil Dean Lang, age 84, of Fairmont will be, Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Virgil was born December 5, 1936, south of Fairmont to Ernest and Minnie (Litschke) Lang, and passed away May 25, 2021 in Enid. Virgil attended Bellview School, and graduated from Garber High School in 1954. He attended Phillips University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physics and Math in 1961. He was a rural mail carrier for the Enid area for over 20 years; but his main occupation was farmer; he farmed and raised cattle with his family in the Fairmont area.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Minnie Lang; and brother, Phillip Lang. He is survived by his niece, Delena Hukle and husband Grant, of Mantachie, MS; sister-in-law, Donnis Lang, of Enid; as well as other family and friends.
Memorial contributions in Virgil’s name may be made to the Senior Citizen’s Hearing Air Project (SCHAP), with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
