Funeral services for Margaret A Land, age 77 will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev Eric Keller will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Margaret was born September 24, 1934 in Raymondville, TX to George and Flodema Standerfer Bray and died May 23, 2012 in Enid, OK. Margaret grew up and attended school in Raymondville.
She married Henry Land on September 5, 1950 in Raymondville, TX. In 1964 they moved to Alva, OK where she managed Marietta’s Dress Shop. She sold Tupperware for several years and helped her husband with his custom cutting business. She enjoyed sewing and selling her items at craft shows in several states. They then moved to Enid in 1989 where they eventually retired. In her final years she enjoyed taking care of her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Henry of the home; daughter, Becky Booth and husband, LeRoy of Enid OK, son, Henry Land, Jr of Atlanta, GA, daughter, Ann Overland of Long Beach, CA; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
