A service of remembrance and celebration of life for Adelina Francisca Rosales Montijo de Lamunyon, age 76, of Waukomis, is 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kenneth Wade and Pastor David Jones will officiate. Visitation for Addie is Saturday, February 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Addie was born October 4, 1938 in Tombstone, Arizona to Ignacio Montijo and Librada Rosales Montijo. She attended school in Tombstone and was very active in various activities and organizations including athletics, band, and cheerleading. After high school, she met the love of her life, Emery Rex Lamunyon while he was stationed in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. Being married to a helicopter pilot afforded them many opportunities to travel and live in many different places including Flagstaff, Arizona, specifically Grand Canyon Village, where their home was about 100 yards from the rim of the canyon, Washington State, Oregon, Anchorage, Alaska, then to Waukomis to settle in 1971. Addie was very involved in her children’s activities in school. She never missed a ballgame and was their biggest cheerleader! She could often be heard screaming ”put Lamunyon in!” at basketball games and “give it to Lamunyon!” from the sidelines of football games. She served three terms on the Waukomis School Board and chaperoned many field trips for the band and football team. After the children were grown, she worked at Greenbriar Nursing Home, in all aspects of the kitchen and dietary needs of the residents. After retirement, she spent her time enjoying her grandchildren and family. Addie spent quality time with her grandchildren. While at Grandma Addie’s house, there were no video games or cable television, it was time spent with their grandmother, which they cherish.

Addie is preceded in death by her husband Emery, her parents Ignacio and Librad; mother and father-in-law, Rex and Elma Lamunyon; five brothers, Ignacio Montijo, Jr., Fred Montijo, Robert Montijo, Ismeal Montijo and Carlos Montijo, six sisters, Espesonza Escalante, Rosie Camadurian, Sophie Carroles, Margaret Reyes, Helen Perotti and Stell Littchfield and several sisters and brothers-in-law.

She is survived by three sons, Emery Lamunyon and wife Sheila, of Luther, OK; Jesse Lamunyon and wife Shari, of Waukomis; Justin Lamunyon and significant other Cindy, of Waukomis; daughter Barbara Nelson and husband Patrick, of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren, Evan and Cassidy Lamunyon, of Waukomis; Erin and Sage Lamunyon, of Waukomis; Braxton Lamunyon, of Waukomis; Rebecca, Marianne, and Abigail Nelson, of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Carolina Moots and Virginia Echave, both of Bisbee, Arizona; two sisters in law, Leslie Simmons, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and June Brainard Callaway, of Enid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. She also leaves Pito, her beloved Chihuahua who misses her very much.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
