Funeral services for Dixie E. Lack, age 87 years, of Enid, are 2:00 pm, Friday, December 29, 2017 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Dixie was born to Jay & Edith (Lewis) Geddes on May 10, 1930 in Mooreland, Oklahoma and died Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Enid.
She grew up & attended school in Woodward where she loved playing basketball. In 1948 she married Robert Marvin Crissup and had four children. After Marvin’s death she attended and graduated from Enid Beauty College. She then met and married Phil Lack in 1960. They completed their family with three additional children.
Dixie loved watching her kids & then her grandkids play sports! She was renamed “Nanny” by her first grand baby. Being Nanny was her pride & joy! She was an avid knitter and crocheter and had fun showering her kids, grandkids and great grandkids with hats, booties, blankets and sweaters. She is survived by her children, Derald Crissup and wife Marsa, of Norman; Gary Crissup of Lahoma, Teary Crissup and wife Tracy, of Hennessey; Rita Montgomery and husband Tom, of Lewisville, Texas; Jim Lack and wife Pam, of Enid; Becky Hibbard and husband Rob, of Southlake, Texas; Jeff Lack of Enid; sixteen grandkids & eighteen great grandkids.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Phil Lack; brother & sister, Lowell Jay Geddes & Darla Capps; her grandchildren Cory Lack & Andrea Lack.
The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
