Wesley Kroeker, died on April 6, 2012 in Enid. He was born October 4, 1923 on a farm northeast of Enid to George and Eva Janzen Kroeker.
He attended Enterprise Grade School and Kremlin High School. He graduated with business degrees from Tabor College and Enid Business College, the latter where he met and courted Dolores Ratzlaff.
In 1944 he was called to the Armed Forces in the Philippines as a stenographer in the office of General MacArthur. He married Dolores on August 4, 1946 to begin a life in farming and business. They joined Grace Mennonite Church at the time of their marriage, a commitment they held until their deaths.
Mr. Kroeker was preceded in death by Dolores, and survived by wife Dorothy (Colegrove) Kroeker, children Charlotte Kroeker Mann of Dallas, Bryan of Cleo Springs, Annette Lillie of Nash, Marcia Miller of Hesston, KS; sisters Alma Ediger and Helen Warkentin of Enid. Dorothy’s children are Sharon McCune, Lynn, John and Jeff Colegrove.
His service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at Grace Mennonite Church, 4006 N. Oakwood Road, Enid. A private family burial will precede in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be from 6:00 to 7:30 at Ladusau Evans on Monday, April 9. Mr. Kroeker was active on the boards of Grace Mennonite Church, Oklahoma Bible Academy and Bethel College in North Newton, KS, to which memorials may be directed.
