Funeral services for Jack Kriethe, age 68 will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the St John Lutheran Church of Covington, OK. Rev Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will be in the St John Lutheran Cemetery, Covington, OK. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the funeral home Friday from 6:30 - 8 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jack was born January 11, 1943 in Altimont, IL to Frank and Ethel Kriethe and passed away peacefully on October 2, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of Phillips University. He married Mary Tanner on December 20th, 1962 in Stillwater, OK. He worked at the Government Accountability Office for 33 years. One of his joys was coaching baseball and basketball in Woodbridge, VA. He liked being called, “Grandpa.”
Jack is survived by his wife, Mary of 48 years and three sons, Vernon Kriethe of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Kriethe and Travis Reed of Atlanta, GA and Jason Kriethe and Amanda Lee of South Carolina. He has four grandchildren, Reece Rizzo of Oklahoma City, Hollie and Jessica of Oklahoma City, OK and Lillian of Atlanta, GA. His sister, Lucille and husband, Raymand Hayward of Marshall, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Ethel Kriethe; his sister, Allie Miller and husband Warren.
