Virginia Krewer

Virginia Krewer, 85, of Enid, OK, formerly of Davenport, IA, passed away Tuesday; March 12, 2011 at The Commons Nursing Facility, Enid, OK.
There will be visitation from 1:30PM to 2:30PM Friday (3/15) at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport, IA A prayer service will be held at 2:30PM followed by burial at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, IA. Virginia was born October 10, 1925 in La Salle, IL to Frank & Helen (Ratajeak) Hylla. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Raymond Krewer in Peru. IL. He preceded her in death in 2001. Virginia was very dedicated to her husband caring for him for 11 years following a stroke.
Virginia and her husband managed the Bel-Air Drive-In Theater in Davenport from 1951 to 1967. She later worked at Northwest Bank, Wayne Montgomery Furniture Store, and Hy- Vee.
She had been active at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Davenport. She was a very caring and outgoing person who would help anyone in need.
Survivors include a Daughter Roxane Krewer & husband Ronald “Buzz” Peterson, Kremlin, OK and a sister Connie Marini, Peru, IL.
