The graveside service for Toleda I Kosted, age 87 will be held Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am at the St Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev Kenneth Wade and Rev Scott Whittenburg will officiate. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the funeral home from 5-6:30 pm Sunday evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Toleda was born September 14, 1923 in Lahoma, OK to Herman and Elsie Olerking Kuhnemund and died July 27, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was raised in Lahoma where she attended school through Junior High. She graduated from Enid High School in 1941.
She married Marvin Kosted on February 18, 1945, who preceded her in death in 1961. She worked for Kress Department Store, Asfahl Clothing, and then was the PBX operator for Champlin, retiring in October 1991. She later married Floyd Geuin in 1977. She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church, LWML at church, taught Sunday School and delivered Meals on Wheels. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing, cooking, gardening, and playing croquet, cards and bowling.
Survivors include her daughter, Lanette Jenike of Tulsa, OK; son, Dale Kosted of Enid; three grandchildren, Lisa Jenike, Jennifer Roden and Jeff Roden; one great grandson, Coltyr.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Roden, her parents, and husband Marvin.
