Karin H. Young

Karin H. Young was born on April 21,1949, in Mainz-Gonsenheim, Germany to Albert and Ingeborg (Biegi) Bleses, and passed away on January 24, 2025, in Enid. Karin attended Mader Becker School in Mainz-Gonsenheim, Germany. After school she trained as a saleswoman at the Wombacher food market in Gonsenheim.

Karin met the love of her life Gene, a US soldier that was station in Gonsenheim, Germany. Shortly after returning to the states her beloved Gene passed away, June 1980 She made her life here in the United States to raise her two children.

She was employed by Enid Memorial Hospital and Methodist Nursing Home, as a housekeeper until she retired. Then she met the second love of her life, Andrew Raymond Rockers and they were life partners until his death in Jan 2020. Karin enjoyed watching Oklahoma City Thunder and the Price is Right. What gave her the most joy in life was when she became a grandmother and great grandmother. Each one of them had something special with her. She loved spending time with her family.

Karin was preceded in death by her father, Albert; mother, Ingeborg; sister Elke; and brother Wolfgang; her two loves, Gene and Andrew. Karin is survived by her son, George Young; his son Tyler (Shelby) and their kids Ryker, Bentley, Ella and Kai-Leigh; daughter Michele Moritz (Todd), her son Tre (Taylor) and their daughter, Briar Ann “Little Annie” and granddaughter Rylee Moritz; sisters Birgit and Irene; brothers Norbert and Robert, all of Germany; sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 pm Friday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Burial will be in the Waukomis Cemetery. Cremation and services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
