Karen Scott

A Celebration of Life Service for Karen Lynn Scott, age 68, of Enid, Will be 2:00 pm, Friday February 7, 2025, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery; service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Karen Lynn (Bramlett) Scott passed away on February 1, 2025. She was born November 30, 1956 to Rayburn and Merlene Bramlett in Oklahoma City. She attended Rollingwood Elementary, Central Junior High and graduated in 1975 from Putnam City High School. She attended OSU and later completed the cosmetology program at Francis Tuttle and enjoyed working as an esthetician.

In 2008, she married Cecil Scott and lived in Enid for the remainder of her life. They enjoyed discovering new places all around the country in their travel trailer. She was a master at crafts, all kinds. She took much pride in her vegetable garden and preserving the harvest. Karen was always the one to catch the biggest fish even when she was a kid. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed family getting together for special occasions.

She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law. She is survived by her devoted husband, Cecil; sister, Debbie Nobles & husband, Jim; son, Michael Mettler & wife, Becky; daughter, Krystal Thurman & husband, Terrian; stepdaughter, Lisa Scott-Williams & husband, John; stepson, Ernie Scott & wife, Kay; grandchildren, Avery and Emilia Mettler, Faora and Silas Thurman, Kyler Williams, Hunter Scott, Ashley Crabtree & husband, David, and McKayla Scott & husband, Vernon Brown; and great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Louella, Addie Mae, Augustus, Chisholm, and Paisley.

We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives.

Memorial contributions in Karen's name may be made to the OMRF Cancer Division with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian on the funds.
