Earl Lee “Tex” Jordan
Services will be held at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Bluebonnet Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors. The Rev. Marilyn Murray will officiate the service.
Earl Lee was born March 22, 1921 to Marion Tilmon Jordan and Winnie Pearl (Virgil) Jordan in Hopkins County, Texas.
Earl attended Haslet High School in Haslet, Texas. In 1940 he enlisted in the 124th Cavalry, Texas National Guard and was discharged June 22, 1945 from combat in World War II with an honorable discharge and 2 Purple Hearts.
He is survived by 3 children, Randy Jordan, Robin Garrison and Raynetta Nauert and husband Andy. He was preceded in death by 2 children, Earl Lee Jordan II and Roger Lee Jordan.
Earl and Gerene (Renie) were married May 4, 1993. He is survived by his wife, 3 stepchildren, Angie Koechel and husband Keith, Jennifer Teague and husband Andy, and Jeff Hatfield. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren.
Earl was a lifelong roofer and avid bowler. He loved to entertain by singing and playing his harmonica.
