Funeral services for Clarence “Jody” Jordan, age 80 will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Susan Waters will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jody was born July 7, 1931 in Enid, OK to Clarence and Nettie James Jordan and died September 14, 2011 at St Mary’s Regional Hospital. He attended Enid High School.
He served in the U S Army during the Korean War. He coached Little League sports for several years and was an avid wood worker. He worked at Enid State School as maintenance supervisor, retiring after 29 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He owned Mid Plains Construction Co and the Pressure Cooker Lounge.
Survivors include his daughters, Connie Oswald and husband Don of Enid, OK, Joni Robyler of Beaufort, SC, four sons, Billy Hoopingarner and wife Kim of Enid, OK, Dennis Hoopingarner and wife Felicia of Enid, OK, Mark Jordan of Beaufort, SC and Jody Jordan and wife Glenda of Enid, OK; 20 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Linda Presa of Enid, OK.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean, son, Larry Hoopingarner; parents; four brothers and one sister.
