Lee Johnson

Funeral service for LeeRoy Edward Johnson age 84 of Enid will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Rev. Ron Olson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

LeeRoy was born December 30, 1926 in Garber, OK to Rufus E. and Leona H. Bucholz Johnson. He attended school in North Enid and Kremlin.

LeeRoy married the love of his life Mary Long on July 20, 1956 in Enid and passed away at the home they built together on Monday, November 14, 2011. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp serving during the Korean War and was honorable discharged.

LeeRoy worked at W. B. Johnston Seed Company for 36 years retiring in 1991 as warehouse superintendent.

LeeRoy is survived by his loving wife Mary of the home, two daughters, Colette and husband Eldon Tefft of Lamont and Teresa and husband Chris Dugger of Enid, grandchildren Brandie and husband Billy Wingo, Chad and wife Alisa Tefft, Derreck and wife Kendra Tefft, Ashley and husband Ryan Albright, Chelsie and husband Gustavo Mendoza, and Colby Dugger, great grandchildren Dylan, Payton, Lauren, Dakota, Caden, Blayne, Matthew, Ava, Reyna, Cole, and a baby girl on the way, a brother Jim Johnson, two sisters Phylis Miller and Shirley Goodman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Sue Burrell, Brother Terry Johnson, and granddaughter Brooke Tefft.

LeeRoy enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed building barn wood furniture. Some of his furniture has gone as far as Canada and California. LeeRoy loved to watch Wheel of Fortune, American Pickers, and Storage Wars.

LeeRoy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
