Barbara Johns

Barbara Kay Johns age 77 of Enid formerly of Charlotte, NC passed away December 27, 2019 at her daughters’ home in Enid. Barbara was born May 29, 1942 in Charlotte, NC to Herbert I. Christenbury and Lilly Pauline Christenbury (Stillwell). She married Walter James Smith in 1968 and he passed away in 1972. She worked as a mill worker for American Efford making blankets and other things.

Barbara is survived by her daughters; Tammy Stelmach of Virginia and Cathy Collins of Enid, her siblings; Shirley Shaver, Flake Mundy, Alma Hedrick, Linda Potts, and step sister Francis Stamey, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Allen Smith, sister Mary Long and brother Alvin Christenbury.

Barbara’s request was to be cremated and have a service in Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte, NC. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home
